Some perfume notes give the perfume an expensive and sexy sound. This was told socialbites.ca by Ilya Volkov, director of development of the Molecule perfumery and cosmetics project.
“Resins always sound expensive – leather and woody notes along with incense, benzoin, tolu balsam and amber oil,” he said.
According to a perfumer, the sexiest perfumes are those with notes of white flowers, amber, musk and pink pepper.
Next spring, Ilya Volkov advised giving up floral scents in favor of woody, fruity or chypre scents.
“Stop being guided by the cliché: we choose spring, that is, floral scents. As Miranda Priestley from the movie “The Devil Wears Prada” said, “Spring is flowers, it’s so primitive.” For business meetings, I think it’s worth paying attention to subtle woody fragrances, perhaps with notes of exotic fruit, chypre ones are better,” she advised.
