Men seeking cosmetic procedures are often asked to remove neoplasms, undergo botulinum therapy and biorevitalization. This was told socialbites.ca by the head physician of the Aesthetic Clinic Tatiana Bedaeva.
Removal of neoplasms – warts, moles, mollusks, papillomas, hemangiomas, “wen” and fibromas – turned out to be the most common reason for men to turn to a beautician-dermatologist.
“Men are guided primarily by the principle of eliminating obvious defects, so the removal of neoplasms is one of the most important procedures for which they turn to a beautician. Today, the method of laser removal of neoplasms on the skin of the face and body is most often used for this, ”explained Tatiana Bedayeva.
In his opinion, in second place in popularity are Botox injections.
“I must say that men generally get along with hardware methods easier than injections, because they are afraid of a long rehabilitation and scars from the procedure. However, botulinum toxin therapy has become such a popular way to get rid of the scars of excessive facial activity that doctors have said men are ready for “beauty injections.”
Finally, the specialist put in third place the procedure of biorevitalization, which helps to fight the signs of premature aging.
“Men’s skin usually has more melanin, tans faster, biorevitalization also protects against the negative effects of ultraviolet radiation and free radicals,” said the doctor.
According to Tatyana Bedayeva, men began to spend more on the services of cosmetologists.
“If in 2020 the average check for men was 3,700 rubles, then in 2021 men spent an average of 5,539 rubles per visit, and in 2022 the average check for a male patient was a record 7,100 rubles,” he said.
The expert explained that in 2022, women spend only 4% more on a beautician than men.
