The jewelry was specially made for the actress by Francesca Amphitheatroff, head jeweler of the Louis Vuitton fashion house. The necklace is comprised of four rows of silver Tahitian pearls connected at the shoulder with a 23.78-carat Nigerian tourmaline. Pearls and gemstones were previously used in other home decorations.
“Finding, using, and reusing sustainable materials is very important to me, and Francesca and I both know what beauty comes when you immerse yourself in this space. So in one of the conversations, the moment was not just about her talent and magnificent artistic vision, but also the art of the Louis Vuitton masters. we decided to use it for the show,” Cate Blanchett told the broadcast.
The actress chose a black Maison Margiela dress made of velvet and silk as an outfit for the event.
