British police drive stolen swan to vet

In England, police caught a swan stolen by a drunk man and took him to the vet. writes about it Guard.

In the city of Plymouth, passers-by saw a bird wandering along the road and the police were called to the scene at around 6:30 PM. The police, who came to the scene, wrapped the swan in a blanket, then put the picture in the back seat of a car and took it to the vet.

Police said the swan was “carried” from Plymouth harbor, about three kilometers from the city, by a drunken man. It was assumed that the bird might have had an accident, as the police feared for his health.

Plymouth Police later tweeted a photo of the swan and wrote: “Not our regular prisoner!”

It was reported that the person suspected of catching the bird left the scene before the police arrived.
