Sheriff Church (Robert De Niro) and Detective Zeppelin struggle to keep the peace in their troubled town. Shelby John (Jack Huston) and Ruby Red want to start a life from scratch together. With the support of Ruby’s brother-in-law Peter (John Malkovich), they decide to start a family and leave the bad life behind. However, Shelby discovers that her love, Ruby, has died on her porch before she can fulfill her dying wish: to be baptized in the river and be cleansed of her past sins. Filled with anger, Shelby embarks on a vengeance spree to right all the wrongs done to Ruby by all the links in the drug trafficking chain. Armed with adrenaline, Shelby will search for them one by one until he reaches the organized crime lord Coyote (Quavo). The Sheriff follows in Shelby’s footsteps in a race against time to end his blind justice, before his own private war turns the town into a bloodbath.
