Austrian jewelery brand Swarovski unveiled a tiara for the 2023 Vienna Opera Ball. It has been reported WWD.
The design of the new Swarovski crown is inspired by the famous star-shaped jewels worn by the Empress of Austria Elisabeth of Bavaria. In the center of the crown is a large star surrounded by other small stars. In total, the product is covered with 435 sparkling crystals.
“Product design has its roots in Austrian heritage. And the star always reminds us to believe in our hopes and dreams,” said Giovanna Engelbert, Creative Director at Swarovski.
The Vienna Opera Ball is one of the oldest cultural events in Austria, with around 5,000 guests a year. The ball will take the stage at the Vienna State Opera on February 16 this year, after a two-year hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic.
