Fitness trainers in the Magadan region receive the highest salaries compared to their colleagues from other regions of Russia. This was revealed by a study acquired by socialbites.ca and conducted by sporting goods manufacturer Hasttings in conjunction with the hh.ru online recruitment platform.
“In March 2022, the Magadan region became the leader in Russia in terms of the recommended salary for employees of fitness clubs, here candidates can count on 86,250 rubles,” the authors of the study said.
The lowest salary for fitness trainers was recorded in the Kurgan region – here candidates for the position of a fitness trainer are offered a salary of 20 thousand rubles.
Salary expectations of applicants for a coaching position in a sports club are the highest in Ingushetia – here they count on 100 thousand rubles. At the same time, the compensation offered to candidates is one of the highest in Russia, 70 thousand rubles.
“In Moscow, candidates want to earn an average of 78,353 rubles, employers offer 67,205 rubles. Petersburg, the difference between these figures is smaller – the expected salary is 56,577 rubles, the proposed 52,677 rubles, ”the analysts added.
According to the authors of the study, in Russia as a whole, the number of vacancies in sports and fitness was lower than the number of applicants: about 31 thousand people applied for 14 thousand places. At the same time, it is possible that many candidates lack vocational training.
“Although there are really many applicants, the qualifications of these personnel are quite low. Not everyone who calls himself a “fitness coach” has special training, some can only take short-term courses,” says Hasttings CEO Dmitry Voronchikhin.
