A Toy Story spin-off titled Buzz Lightyear was released this summer. It tells the origins of a fictional test pilot and astronaut. Former Pixar CEO John Lasseter recently commented on this animated film.
According to media reports, he spoke very negatively about the spin-off. He is said to have a “special disdain” for the 2022 Buzz Lightyear.

It is worth noting that John Lasseter is the director of the first two parts of Toy Story. The report says he was extremely dissatisfied with the failure of “Buzz Lightyear” after he “created and raised” the eponymous space warden, who became one of the iconic cartoon characters.
