It doesn’t make sense to fill a salad with lean mayonnaise to reduce its calorie content. This was told to socialbites.ca by a therapist specializing in integrative ancient medicine at the Life Med Center Hovhannes Davidyan.
“You should not fill Olivier with low-calorie mayonnaise. Because the amount of fat in the product is reduced, the amount of carbohydrates is increased. Read the labels, minus the fat plus the carbs!” said Hovhannes Davidian.
The therapist explained that the increased amount of carbohydrates that “turn into sugar” is no less harmful to the body than fat.
“The most important! If you garnish a salad with “something low-calorie,” you’ll eat three times as much. And what? Is that possible? A light dressing? Fill it with regular fuel but stick to the quota!” doctor recommended.
He added that it is better to opt for homemade mayonnaise made from quality olive oil or avocado oil.
