The couple tried hard to find the ring in the sewer that same day, but that was unsuccessful. In November of this year, Nick Day’s mother, Rene, decided to replace the toilet and accidentally found a diamond item inside the toilet. After the discovery, Nick’s family packaged the ring and gave it to the couple for Christmas.
Shaina Day said the find quickly brought her to tears. “It was like an ugly cry. I sat there and said, “Oh my god, this is my ring. This is my ring.“I wipe my eyes and mascara is everywhere,” she shared.
