The Russian film studio Soyuzmultfilm plans to create a competitor for the films Harry Potter and The Lord of the Rings. This is reported by the press service of the studio. As a replacement, film adaptations of the books “Malusha” by Oleg Roy and “Secrets of the Enchantress” by Yulia Ivanova are promised.
The first project is in the scripting phase. The plot tells about the Varangian Eric, who finds himself in Rus and “meets the child of the Earth Malusha, and after all the adventures he understands that true strength is in a good heart, and not in an ax.” Plot details have not been disclosed.
The second project in the studio is called the answer to Harry Potter and The Lord of the Rings. Little is known about him, it is only reported that he will “present a fascinating and beautiful world with the young sorceresses Elda and Shani”. In addition, original characters and storylines are promised.
