By decorating a Christmas tree, you can move away from the standard and give it an unusual look. Hoff’s interior designer Julia Golub shared a few ideas for unusual decorations with socialbites.ca.
According to the designer, in winter there is always a lack of flowers and greenery, and the Christmas tree can be made “greener and more blooming” due to unusual decorations.
“Put dried flowers, eucalyptus and evergreen branches such as spruce or thuja in clear glass balls. Complement all these decorations with solid green, terracotta, silver or gold balls and an inconspicuous LED garland with golden lights,” advises Yulia Golub.
He added that gifts in this style can be wrapped in kraft paper with floral ornaments.
The designer suggested decorating a nautical-style Christmas tree for those who miss the writing, the sea and the sun.
“Decorate with wooden boats, large seashells, corals, bird figurines. Complete all decorations with clear glass balls and a garland with flags. To create a feeling of air and sea breeze, it is important not to overload the decor with unnecessary details and sparkles.”
He added that another non-standard option for decorating the Christmas tree is photographs taken in 2022, which must be enclosed in miniature frames.
“Complete the decor of the Christmas tree with plain balls in the main colors of the interior, your favorite Christmas toys from your childhood and elegant thin beads. It will be so cute and touching! Golub noted.
