It looks like Black Adam won’t be getting a sequel – and if it does, it won’t be any time soon. Dwayne Johnson has stated in a recent tweet that DC Films has no plans to continue with the anti-hero story just yet.
The actor learned this from James Gunn, who is now in charge of the franchise. According to Johnson, the hero will definitely not be in the first chapter of the MCU, but he could appear in future films.
Black Adam will not appear in the first chapter. However, DC and Seven Bucks [компания Джонсона] will continue to look for the most valuable ways to use Black Adam in future chapters of the DC Multiverse.
James and I have known each other for many years and have always supported each other. Nothing has changed and I will always make sure that DC (and Marvel) is a great success.
