“Protected” They returned. A little over a year after the long-awaited fiction return, the storyline continues, starring the Castillo family. Atresplayer Premium on this occasion, with a new season with the subtitle ‘DNA’. The starting point will be the wedding of Sandra and Culebra, one of the most anticipated events of Antena 3 by fans of the series, which aired from 2010-2012. main fernandez Y luis fernandez about the ‘yes I want’ of their characters and what the new episodes bring for them.

You will star in one of the most anticipated moments for fans of ‘Los Protegidos’, Sandra and Culebra’s wedding. What can you move forward from that event?

Ana Fernández: This will be the only time that everything will be alright, that everyone will be happy, throughout the entire season.

Luis Fernández: Grandpa, although he didn’t always think it was a bit ominous.

Ana Fernández: Yes, but it’s going to be complete nonsense from here on out.

Luis Fernández: There’s a lot of chicha this season, there’s action, and there’s a lot of good personal plot. There are also conflicts between characters who are never seen because they are not given the opportunity, in this case between Dora and Sandra and Culebra. There is everything!

After the return of the previous season and beyond the wedding, where are your characters?

AF: In Sandra’s case, she’ll be in a quiet spot, I think she deserved to have a season where she wasn’t suffering number one. You will observe and participate in the intrigues of others, but not because of that inner suffering that keeps you from enjoying other things. This season will be in a more motherly place, more hesitant, let it be ironic. I’ve had better times as an actress and enjoyed it more than the previous season, when I was filming to cry and be displaced alive.

LF: Culebra will have a personal conflict after the wedding, but she will have some at the wedding too. He will become more mature with other concerns and try to change things in his life.

You returned to your characters after 10 years in the previous season. On this occasion after ‘El Regreso’ was it easier for you to get into their skin after you internalized them once again?

LF: You’re more relaxed, you don’t get out of your comfort zone in the end. If they give you a new character, you have to create it, but it has been created, even if it has new nuances. It’s like Mr. Potato, which is there and you have to add something to it. This is somewhat similar.

Esmeralda Moya, Marta Torné and Raúl Mérida return this season. What was it like meeting them both on and off the camera?

LF: Great in front of the screens, behind… Worse.

AF: That’s a lie!

LF: We are satisfied. Actually, ‘El Regreso’ was made in honor of some characters, but we commented that it would be nice if the others came back. We talked about Leo (Raúl Mérida) and we talked about others we missed. Finally they gave us the opportunity to work with them again and we are very happy.

AF: It was finally homecoming for them. And the players who enter with new characters are also great from the first minute, we opened the doors for them to make them as comfortable as possible.

LF: As it should be, after all we work eight or twelve hours a day.

How does it work with these new additions?

AF: We shot a lot with Emilio Buale, the director of the academy, and he’s a great guy. Also with Raquel Pérez, who is the coach of most players in this country. I remember when he called me I told him he was going to have a great time because his technique was great and he could play with his character a lot. I was not mistaken, he had a lot of fun and laughed a lot.

LF: And we’re with him.

AF: Ángel Martínez, Xavi Caudevilla, Anna Nacher, Gabriela Andrada are also there… Many additions have been made and the series has breathed new life into it.

From what you said, there’s a very nice atmosphere on set. Does this help you build relationships between characters? And what’s more, considering you’re playing a family…

LF: Emilio told us. He said it’s great to be able to go to a place where the characters that are already there make it easy for you. The fact that the whole family has this complicity stems from all the years we’ve worked together, but it’s in their own best interests. acting. They see that the family is cool and whoever has bad character has to go to that family, as if it gives them pleasure (laughs). We’ve created a wonderful family, it’s true.

Is ‘The Protected’ back to stay with more seasons?

AF: It’s the decision of the viewers, the platform, a lot of people… It’s out of our hands, we’re not in control of anything.

LF: But yes! If you think yes, it will appear.

AF: What do we agree to? Yes, you should project.

LF: We thought about this for ten years and we finally got it.

‘Los Protegidos’ lives a lot of life on social networks and also with that ‘Protected Stories’… feedback What do people give you?

LF: As always, we are extremely grateful. I don’t know if there is a fiction with bold lines like the ones in ‘The Protected’. They’ve been with us for ten years. When the third season was over, there were some fans who wrote the fourth season. I don’t think even Blue Summer has that kind of thing.

From the powers that appear in the series… Which would you like to have in real life?

AF: Me, teleport. I love traveling but I hate commuting, I can’t stand it.

LF: How lazy you are! (Laughter) But yeah, I prefer that option too.

AF: If you suddenly want to be in Chile… Come on, pack your bags and go, you’re there.
