The fashion house said it has “opened special legal action against anyone trying to undermine the iconic character” of the White Sole shoes. A canvas pump model was first introduced in 2005. It has gained popularity due to its comfort and lightness, turning into everyday city shoes.
“Over time, White Sole shoes have become the hallmark of the house and therefore aim to preserve the legacy of the Loro Piana brand,” the company said in a statement.
Loro Piana is owned by the French conglomerate LVMH. Last year, the company appointed Dior chief Damien Bertrand as its new CEO. The Italian brand is known for its luxurious fabrics and concise clothing.
