Amazon launched a TV series based on God of War 2018. The show is run by Amazon Studios, Sony Pictures Television and PlayStation Productions.
Rafe Judkins, best known for The Wheel of Time, will serve as showrunner for the adaptation. The script was written by Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby, who collaborated on the Oscar-nominated films Iron Man and Child of Man. Cory Barlog will serve as executive producer.
The show does not yet have a cast, a filming start date, or a premiere date. It is also not clear who will direct the series. It is only known that the film adaptation will be released on the Amazon Prime Video streaming service.
