French house Dior held its first fashion show at the foot of the Egyptian pyramids in Giza. Photos from the show have been released demand.
Kim Jones, the creative director of the Dior menswear line, surprised the public by organizing the first fashion show in the history of fashion at the foot of the Egyptian pyramids. Models of the house walked along a makeshift runway against the background of the main icon of Egypt, showing the public a futuristic autumn 2023 menswear collection called Celestial.
For the Dior fashion show, the Ministry of Civil Aviation reportedly allowed about fifty private jets to land at the recently renovated Sphinx International Airport in Giza. A few days ago, on Friday, the fashion house exhibited its Dior x Denim collection at the Great Museum of Egyptian Antiquities.
The Dior show was the second fashion event to use ancient Egyptian heritage as a backdrop. In October 2022, Italian designer Stefano Ricci exhibited his new collection at the temple of the ancient Egyptian queen Hatshepsut in Luxor.
