Princess Charlotte is married to her grandfather, the new King of Great Britain III. He can get a special title from Charles. It has been reported daily mail.

According to the publication’s source, King Charles III did not make Prince Edward Duke of Edinburgh because he wants to keep that title for Princess Charlotte.

“Controversy is ongoing, but for the king it would be preferable for that title to go to Princess Charlotte. It would of course be a fitting way to honor the Queen, who holds the title of Duchess of Edinburgh, and would be a great way to honor Her Majesty’s line of succession,” he said.

The second child of the Prince and Princess of Wales, Charlotte is the third heir to the throne, after her father William and older brother George. However, while Kate Middleton was expecting her first child, the rules of the royal birthright were changed to give a girl born to a couple the same rights as a boy.

“Charlotte’s position is historic because she is the first female member of the royal family whose place in the line of succession will not be surpassed by her younger brother. For example, if Prince George has no children, it is quite possible that he will ascend to the throne,” an insider added.
