A small team of indie developers Baryonix Studios is developing an unofficial remake of the first God of War, released in 2005 on PS2. The project is based on the Unity engine. The network already has the first video.
“We are a small team of passionate game developers and we all love the GOW franchise, so we decided to make this fan-made remake and we’ve been doing everything we can to make it ever since. We don’t know when it will be released and finally reach your devices, but we will take care of it. We will regularly share progress on this channel”said the developers.
The video shows an early prototype of one of the in-game levels, a three-dimensional model of Kratos, and an animation of hits with the Blades of Chaos. Since the project has nothing to do with Sony, it is possible that the team will soon receive a letter demanding that further development be banned.

Recall that we previously reported on a video where we showed what a remake of God of War on Unreal Engine 5 could look like. However, we are talking about a fan video only, which does not imply any real development of this project.
As for the GOW series, this month came out God of War: Ragnarok, which received very high marks from the press. You can read our review here. Relax: The developers of Hogwarts Legacy showed an ASMR tour of the game’s locations
