Sony’s cinematic universe is developing rather one-sidedly, slowly evolving from solo projects to large-scale crossovers. Despite fan expectations, the Venom and Spider-Man trilogies starring Tom Hardy still exist in their own separate universes, but that could soon change.
Sony Pictures Japan hinted in a recent press release that Spider-Man 4 could feature the long-awaited meeting between the symbiote and the friendly neighbor. The unit revealed some details about the film and teased fans with a Tom Hardy reference:
Tom Hardy himself said that he would not mind starring in one of the projects with his namesake. Moreover, the actor has not yet said goodbye to the role of Eddie Brock and is ready to return to the role, despite the end of the threequel. As for Spider-Man 4, the film starring Tom Holland will be released on July 24, 2026.
We recently revealed the first official still from Tron: Ares starring Jared Leto. A photo from the filming of the new “Predator” also appeared, in which the alien hunter himself appeared.
