Experts from the Tutu travel service conducted a survey and told socialbites.ca what Russians most often leave behind when traveling.
Clothes and shoes are at the top of the list of forgotten items, with one in ten survey participants leaving them behind when traveling. Care products, cosmetics and perfumes came second, with 8.6% of survey participants forgetting them. Technology came third. 6.18% of participants couldn’t find their phone, camera or charger when they returned from a trip.
The most abandoned products include food and beverages (5.58%), medicines (5.13%), jewelry (4.83%) and slippers (4.3%).
“Among the forgotten items, at the bottom are money and bank cards (2.87 percent), backpacks, bags and suitcases (2.49 percent), cauldron – 2.34 percent, blankets and documents: passport, insurance, tickets. – 2 each, 26%. Experts stated that 1.96 percent of participants also forgot their house keys while traveling.
Fifteen percent of respondents said they could not find the items they had forgotten on the survey list, and a quarter said they had never left anything behind when traveling.
Russians also told how much they take with them on a trip. The majority of respondents (47.29%) travel with only hand luggage, and one in ten travels with a suitcase. 35.16% of respondents take a suitcase and hand luggage on a trip, and 4.31% take hand luggage and more than one suitcase. At the same time, 2.93% of Russians surveyed had difficulty answering the question.
