Don’t think – do!

Either Karamzin was talking about the fact that in a hundred years it will be possible to characterize Russia with one word – “steal”, or he did not say, but now it does not matter, the phrase has lost its relevance. Now, if you wake me up years later, say … not a hundred, but ask what happened in five, and in Russia, now I will confidently say: “They are meeting!”.

About running around with our hands outstretched and shouting: “Give! To give! Give! ”, They write for a long time and a lot. It’s no secret that the dark steals money. And it is known what is served in all these endless demands, as well as on the veranda, out of the desire to feel good and the unwillingness to understand.

But then it occurred to me: we send money to scammers and just speculators on human misfortune, often on their own, because not everyone knows what costs and what is free in Russia. There is a term – toxic charity. It was invented by journalist Svetlana Mashistova. It refers only to collections that are not made in violation, and sometimes fraudulently – more importantly, such collections discredit the charity that frankly barely lives in our country and can barely stand on its slender, sore legs.

Toxic philanthropy feeds on three human flaws: inexperience (people haven’t encountered CHI for a long time and don’t know how much), ignorance (they can’t learn), and laziness (they don’t want to know). The three flaws put on the market together have probably already outstripped drug trafficking in volume.

Inexperienced people do not know that in Russia cancer is treated according to the same protocols as in Europe. No need to carry bandages and drugs to the hospital. They distribute clean and shoe covers in clinics, at least in cities. That you don’t have to pay for a CT scan in the emergency room. For this reason, they easily send money to those who declare collections, they have an accident as soon as the blood pressure rises, they have to examine the kidneys. Beggars in Russia have a full specialization: making money from people who do not know what compulsory health insurance is, either because for a long time they only went to paid clinics and did not get a serious illness, because serious ones are only treated. they live in public hospitals or abroad.

The last fees I have seen: for ultrasound of the kidneys, for the treatment of hypertension, for a “complete examination of the thyroid gland”, for a separate ward for a terminal cancer patient, for “recovery” after a fight in the subway , for dental treatment of children from large family bruises of one eye. If I had not done an ultrasound of the thyroid gland myself through the outpatient clinic, had not experienced pressure surges, had not gone through an MRI antenatal clinic, I could still think that all this is not available in Russia and requires a lot of money. and private medicine. But I know and I’m sorry I shudder when I see all these fees for free.

Today, people seem to be waiting for something bad to happen to announce a collection right away. It’s not a very noble and not a very excuse to ask for money. Judging by the fact that there are just more people wanting to collect, this works great. People, believing that it is impossible to cure a caries in Russia, send everything to do for free with an ambulance CT scan. They do not know that children’s dental clinics are free, in megacities they look better than paid ones for a long time, an imported filling for a child costs 1500-2000, and there is no need to pay for work. Such earnings can be called making money in the spirit of opposition, because to those who can be treated and observed for free in our country, money is given by people who believe that there is nothing in Russia. They are happy to be cheated on. There was a case recently: a girl who was once detained at a rally announced a collection for her mother’s treatment at a private cancer center. That’s millions a week. My mother is in the last stage of cancer. Money was sent to this family because many people in Russia are sure that a person in the last stage of cancer is not seen anywhere.

People don’t know much about us. For example, probably everyone has heard of the Circle of Good Foundation. Now orphans are required to give free medicine to children with diseases from the state. It’s fine though, we get it. They fought, fought and succeeded: the children were given free drugs, including the same gold injection from SMA Zolgensma for 129-160 million rubles for one dose. After that, by the way, they have already started a new approach and are now demanding other expensive drugs – Spinraza and Risdipalm, golden Zolgensma did not help, for which the last one was swayed from donors and now they are shaking the state. But I’m not talking about that. Tell me, why do collections continue if these drugs are given for free? And not on paper, but in reality.

Because there is ignorance! We have now started to test SMA experimentally from birth in several regions, detected cases have already been recorded, almost twenty. But at least one family guessed to open the collection right away, even though they expected the drug for free. And he doesn’t give the money he saves – he says “for rehabilitation”, let’s leave it. Who sent them these millions? And those who do not know what the state pays for. So we pay. But if you keep politely quiet about it, you can make some money. Excuse me, but many families behave in such a way that tears drip: what happiness, a disabled person was born – we publish the details on the run.

But ignorance is not a flaw, it is a lack of knowledge. It turns into ignorance when one does not want to know. An example of the same children’s fillings: at the bottom of the next collection for dental treatment for “children” you write that they often compensate for the expenditure of older children on paid fillings – people do not want to listen. You remind me that some families who received an injection of 129 million from the government simply allocated money previously collected from donors, without any reporting – they also do not want to listen. The boy is meeting in Germany for cancer treatment. People do not want to know: why is the child lying instead of being treated in Russia and waiting to be taken to Germany, if, in fact, all treatments are already closed for us there? Will Santa Claus take him to Germany? Just collected below the real find price. Any person can submit a request for treatment of such ailment to any clinic in the USA, Israel or Germany, receive a full estimate in response and start raising funds for it. I’m not kidding, nobody! And those who rarely ask where the medical documents are, why there is no treatment at home, how the patient generally goes abroad, and those who do not want to know the details put the curious people under their feet.

Or, let’s say, we see an enormous collection of miracle cures in Korea. People are quietly ready to send this damned 100 rubles – no one wants to stand still: what kind of treatment is this in Korea, for which the child has to miss the last chance in his homeland? Didn’t the kid get a quota? How is this? How exactly did you not understand? “All the doctors” abandoned a child in Russia? In what expression? Was it found incurable? And why does his family take him to Korea, where the algae treatment is offered?

All these questions need to be asked of collectors, they are the ones who make us a society that knows how to cut the rot from the bud, not the crowd. But they do not ask us: they quietly send money and that’s it. Because they don’t want to. They want to feel good for a hundred rubles. And the fact that the family, for example, collected 150 million, kept it for themselves, and now collects thirty more, this does not bother a helping hand. And the fact that the truly needy will not receive money in the end is not interested in a good person. He asks for a ticket to heaven for a hundred rubles, and the rest, as they say in my childhood, does not bother him.

And they can be lazy. Yes there is. They will not give a hundred rubles if they are collected through fraud. But try to catch up with him and explain where the deception is. This is especially common among dog lovers with cats. Here is the flooded sea. Collect – I do not want. Collect huge, just huge sums. Every dog or cat lover knows that the amounts that constantly flash in collections on social networks are greatly exaggerated. Sometimes – dozens of times. I have pets here. Many. Something happens to everyone. Our Alabayka is especially distinguished by the ability to get sick and get into trouble: either there was pyroplasmosis, then an abscess, then mycoplasmosis with relapse, then it needs to be sterilized, then its hair is climbing in pieces from mycosporia. The dog is a regular at three veterinary clinics at the same time. Well, other animals sometimes get sick: either ticks in the nose, then excuse me, gases, then the cat got into a fight …

We treat them all and take them to examinations and tests. We even operated on a goat!

And the more my animals get sick, the more I understand that something is wrong with the collections of animal rights activists. While tens of thousands of rubles were collected for tick-borne pyroplasmosis, analysis and treatment probably cost us a thousand and a half two years ago. Recently, alabaika was hopelessly ill: mycoplasmosis. The disease is the most severe of the diseases for which animal rights activists have billed a hundred thousand or more. Literally: they take a dog, it turns out to have mycoplasmosis – since then there have been constant requests for money, some grandiose bills with a one-time expenditure of tens of thousands are falling from the clinics.

Now I will write to you how much the treatment for mycoplasmosis in Veliky Novgorod (St. Petersburg – somewhere plus 25-30%) costs: reception 350 rubles, analysis 550 rubles, ultrasound of the pelvic organs and spleen – 1100 rubles, antibiotic Tylosin 200-560 rubles (the last time there was a human antibiotic for the same money), and this is 52 kg per dog, a hybrid needs three times less, hexicon vaginal suppositories – 210 rubles, levomekol – 190 rubles. Since the dog was breathing heavily, almost did not walk, they made an x-ray of the heart (1400 rubles) and his own ultrasound (1700 rubles). At the same time, I recently saw a collection of Labradors in Saratov, it seems: suspicion of a bad heart, they allegedly “borrowed” more than thirty thousand and the same for examination. And the conclusion – help, otherwise you will have to sleep. Gentlemen, you are thieves! Highway robbers.

More examples from our animals: x-ray of the toy terrier – 400 rubles. Teeth cleaning under anesthesia – 1100 rubles. Caring for a cat under anesthesia – 1100 rubles. Scraping for fungus and mites – 350-400 rubles. Washing off antibiotics for abscess and wound – three hundred rubles.

Average imported vaccines – 400-600 rubles. Our Rabisin rabies vaccine is free.

Boring amounts, I agree. But if you’re too lazy to find out how much it really costs to save all those cats and dogs, you’ll be fooled. Kittens will continue to be kept in cages as long as money is sent to them by those who believe it costs tens of thousands of dollars to remove worms from stray dogs and treat the genitourinary system. And it’s not worth it.

The usurpation of power is not taken into account. Learning to distinguish scammers from those in need is a long and ungrateful task, because at the most stressful moment there will always be a good heart that screams: “Instead of pouring mud on my mother, they’d better help her.” Even if the “mother” collects in the second round, since her child has long received compulsory health insurance.
