Norway marks the age of the future heir to the throne

Birthday celebrations for Princess Ingrid Alexandra, granddaughter of King Harald V and future heir to the throne, have begun in Norway. Video from the ceremony published Official channel of the Norwegian Royal House.

The events kicked off with the birthday girl’s official performance at a dinner at the Deichman Bjørvika library. More than two hundred people were reportedly invited to the buffet, including the entire royal family, Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Stere and Oslo Mayor Marianne Borgen. In her speech, she said she was happy to grow up in a country like Norway and praised her democracy.

The princess’s birthday was still January 21, but due to quarantine restrictions, the official celebration only started now.

Ingrid Alexandra is second in line to the throne after her father, Crown Prince Haakon. His personality is notable for being born in his father’s marriage to the Crown Princess Mette-Marrit, a divorced commonwealth, and also for succeeding his younger brother due to a change in the succession law.
