“Pour vegetable oil into the pan and fry the onions. Then add the chopped carrots and fry them all together until the vegetables become soft, then add some garlic and tomato paste and sauté until cooked. Fry chopped beets in vegetable oil, then add vinegar and sugar. Cook until the vinegar evaporates, then add some of the broth and cook until the beets are ready. We cut the cabbage into strips,” said Sergei Sushchenko.

He also suggested adding chopped cabbage to the boiling broth.

“Then add the prepared sautéed onions, carrots and tomato paste, boil again and add some salt. Then add boiled beets, bring to a boil and cook until the vegetables are ready. When the borscht is ready, add the bay leaf, allspice and some chopped garlic. The finished borscht should be removed from the stove, covered with a lid and left to infuse for about 2 hours. “We recommend serving it with sour cream,” concluded the brand chief.
