British woman complains of rash after using nasal spray to tan

Student Erin Ryder complained that after using a nasal spray to self-tan, her skin became covered with red inflammation, which left scars. This has been reported Sun.

“I started noticing painful rashes on my face. I’ve never experienced this. I thought it might be hormonal. <...> But they turned out to be cystic acne. I have never associated self-tanning nasal sprays with the appearance of acne. However, after adding two twice and searching for possible side effects, I immediately stopped using them,” said the 20-year-old Briton.

Ryder hasn’t used a nasal tanner for five months, but the scars on his face still persist. She consulted a dermatologist, who said her scars would only disappear after the expensive laser resurfacing procedure.

The UK Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Authority has warned against the use of nasal tanning sprays, saying many of them are unlicensed. However, these funds, ranging from £20 to £35, are popular with young people.
