Princess Leonor was the guest of a youth conference called “Enjoy the Internet Safely” organized by the Spanish National Institute of Cyber Security (INCIBE) at a school in the Madrid suburb of Leganes. For an official exit without parents, 16-year-old heirs to the Spanish throne, King Philip VI and Queen Letizia, opted for a white floral-printed shirt, light pink pants and sneakers. He was noted to be confident when communicating with conference participants.
In 2014, Philip VI became King of Spain, succeeding his father, Juan Carlos. In turn, Princess Leonor was automatically recognized as the main heir to the throne. In 2018, the young monarch received the Order of the Golden Fleece, which was awarded to his back in 2015. In the same year, he gave his first public speech.
In addition to 16-year-old Princess Leonor, King Philip VI and Queen Letizia have another daughter, Princess Sofia, who will turn 14 at the end of April 2022.
