“This is just a waste of time”

The husband of singer Victoria Tsyganova and producer Vadim Tsyganov addressed the online buzz around a supposed search story that circulated on the evening of November 4, calling it a hoax. On his Telegram channel, the artist shared video footage showing her husband joking on the phone with Lexus, the alias used by Alexey Stolyarov, and thanking him for the work. The phone screen briefly displays the name during the demonstration.

“Lesh, thanks for your work. You are a wonderful person. Thank you to the team for delivering this; it’s a blast. The team is operating at an A+ level — I liked your approach to the network and how you handle it,” Tsyganov remarks in the clip.

The interlocutor in the video claims that the Tsyganovs are “seriously teasing,” engaging in a form of trolling, and that they have the power to “ruin others.” The footage also records a dialogue between Tsyganov and Vladimir Kvachkov, a retired GRU colonel, as well as writer Zakhar Prilepin. Prilepin hints at an upcoming disclosure that would fuel the Tsyganovs’ notoriety.

“The calls went well, didn’t they? It implies that reptilians approach us to test conscience, honor, and of course probe questions about faith, hope, and love,” Tsyganov comments in the video.

The producer also notes the birthday of journalist Ksenia Sobchak and adds that “creepers are not congratulated.” He even mentions sending Sobchak a Chanel golden earring through a neural network channeling method.

In the video’s title, Tsyganova refers to it as the “second part,” suggests the “first part is secret,” and urges viewers to “wait.”

Pranksters have nothing to do with it

Following the video’s release, Lexus and his partner Vovan, known publicly as Vladimir Kuznetsov, claimed that they were involved in the “search” narrative as part of a deliberate performance. They noted that Tsyganov thanked Lexus for a prank aimed at Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, and added that their help could extend only to seeking emergency psychiatric assistance if needed.

In a discussion with socialbites.ca, Tsyganov stated that the spouses had already addressed all questions and redirected inquiries to Lexus. “He spoke with me on the phone and asked: what if it isn’t really Lexus? I’m thinking about it now,” the producer admitted. He did not confirm whether the Tsyganovs were aware of the person behind the joke.

“Of course I could guess, but I can’t be sure. Only time will tell. I hope so.” The couple indicated they might remove the story soon and discussed the importance of preserving the moment for viewers by capturing it quickly.

Tsyganov suggested that journalists mostly sought something sensational and that the truth did not greatly concern them. He urged listeners to consider Lexus’ words carefully, noting that the speaker makes several intriguing observations.

Journalists pressed for information about the alleged “searches.” On the night of November 4, Tsyganova posted a video claiming a search had been conducted at the couple’s residence, though the accompanying headline appeared riddled with errors: “They came with a call, calling, the sword clicked, help you know the numbers, call me ‘scareeee’.”

Ksenia Sobchak responded to the report by suggesting she would more likely set up an ant farm in her office than exploit the Tsyganovs. A few hours later, Tsyganova posted that the situation was resolved and that the evidence included shoes and a neural network, with a nod to Russian classics and Alexandra Pushkina.

A subsequent post promised commentary “with the shaman in the kitchen” on November 5, and the next day, Tsyganova shared photos of her dog, describing the animal as a “press attaché” and teasing a future broadcast.

The narrative of the supposed searches followed an interview between the Tsyganovs and journalist Yuri Dud, a figure frequently labeled as a foreign media agent in Russia. Dud stated the couple were among the first to participate in a yearlong project, although their political views diverged from the interviewer’s. Tsyganova had previously posted recordings of the interview on her channel and warned subscribers to avoid watching it, suggesting it was produced by a neural network. Vadim Tsyganov later said the singer was attempting to dodge difficult questions and claimed she faced blacklist consequences after the interview aired.

Shortly before the supposed searches, Tsyganova hinted at intense personal challenges and disclosed a long history of treatment. Following the interview, Sobchak remarked on the statement surrounding “total Russianness in Chanel shoes” as ironic and noted the couple’s declared natural and carefree stance. Dud did not publicly comment on the events that followed.
