A new exit from the Andalusian filmmaker Gonzalo Krespo appears in the spotlight as The Source of Evil, a project that is making its way through the official section of the Alicante Film Festival. The premiere is scheduled for Monday evening at 20:00 in Kinépolis, with a modest admission of five euros and with the film crew in attendance ready to meet the audience and discuss the making of this detective story.

The cast features notable performers led by Carlos Olalla, with Geraldine Torres, John de Luca, Jesus Castro, Lucia Guerrero, Javier Alcina, Rebecca Torres and familiar names returning to the spotlight. The Source of Evil is a gripping detective film set in New York, following the footsteps of a killer who stalks the busy avenues and quiet corners of the city, weaving a tense narrative through the Big Apple’s streets and neighborhoods.

Earlier in the evening, the festival program opens at 20:00 on Monday with a rich slate of events. The schedule extends over ten hours and includes a masterclass at Puerta Ferrisa focused on FlixOlé and a careful tribute to Spanish cinema. A round-table discussion will follow, inviting industry voices to talk about fiction production and the earnings framework that supports independent filmmaking. The Editing Projects Lab will also host sessions, all offered with free admission to encourage broad participation from attendees and aspiring filmmakers.
