Netflix is set to launch a new, cheaper, must-watch subscription plan on November 1, according to a number of publications including The Wall Street Journal and Variety.
The company told investors in July that it would add ad-supported subscriptions in early 2023. However, the launch has now been delayed (it will cost US viewers $7.99 per month) in an attempt to surpass Disney, which offers a similar plan on its Disney+ streaming on November 8, according to sources.
The new Netflix subscription (price unknown) is expected to launch in November in several countries, including the US, Canada, UK, France and Germany.
