“Oldboy” and revenge trilogy by detective director Park Chan-wook. The plot focuses on a researcher who arrives in a mountain village to solve the murder of a local man, but soon falls in love with the deceased’s widow – namely the main suspect. The movie is written by Park Chan Wook and Jung So Kyung, who have previously collaborated on “Sympathy for Lady Vengeance”, “I’m a Cyborg, But It’s Okay”, “Thirst” and “The Handmaid”. Decision to Leave was screened at the Cannes Film Festival in May, where the film won the Best Director award.
