Actor Stanislav Sadalsky criticized the 44th Moscow Film Festival, which started on August 26. His words lead teleprogramma.pro.
“Small-town party on a small-town scale. This is zilch for the audience. Culture and art today [как средство заработка] for the authorities, but for the people they fell into the abyss. It is a well-known law – the less talent, the more political ambition,” he said.
According to Sadalsky, the song “My Bitter Motherland” by Yulia Malinova made a “demonstrative” sound at the opening of the festival.
MIFF-2022 will be held from August 26 to September 2. More than 230 films from Russia, Serbia, Romania and Latin America will be screened at the film festival. The main competition will feature 13 feature films, three of which are by Russian directors. This year, Yevgeny Mironov, artistic director of the Theater of Nations, chaired the jury.
