In an interview with Town & Country, actress Michelle Yeoh talked about why director Quentin Tarantino didn’t choose her for the Kill Bill duo.

The director never approached the actor with an offer to join the project, although he openly admitted that the main character of both films, The Bride (played by Uma Thurman) was inspired by the character Yeoh in the comedy Police Story 3. When Yeoh directly asks him why he decided not to call her, Tarantino replied, “Who would believe that Uma Thurman could get her ass kicked?” she replied.

At the same time, both Yeo and Tarantino are extremely warm about each other. According to the director, he long ago became a “huge, big fan” of the actress. And Yeoh cites one of his conversations with the cinematographer as the main reason he continued his career after an accident on the set of the action movie “Stunt Girl” that left him almost paralyzed.

Yeo’s will appear In “The Brothers Sun” directed by Brad Falchuk, co-writer of “American Horror Story” and “Glee”.
