Producer Iosif Prigozhin commented on the proposal to ban Latvian singer Laima Vaikule from entering Russia. Latvia became the first country to ban the entry of Russian artists and has yet to lift the sanctions of the late Iosif Kobzon, he told socialbites.ca.

“Latvia was the first to violate civil rights when it banned many artists from entering. They have not even taken out the deceased Kobzon so far, as if he will come there in a coffin, go from the grave to Latvia and pass by. We never crossed the line they crossed. They cross all imaginable and unimaginable boundaries, so there’s nothing for them to do at our house. This is such a big country, why are you doing this? Do you have a conscience? Can you at least thank the audience? What kind of a shameless, disrespectful attitude towards humanity is this? You sang in Russian. Vernissage said, you all won in this country.

Formerly Prigozhin supported The idea to ban the entry of singer Laima Vaikule to Russia. He told socialbites.ca that artists who oppose Russia should be banned in the country.

In 2014, People’s Artist of the USSR Iosif Kobzon was banned from entering Latvia and Ukraine due to his support for the DPR and the annexation of Crimea to Russia.
