New images have emerged from the shooting of the movie “Cheburashka 2” in Sochi. VGTRK’s press service reported this to socialbites.ca.
Filming takes place in the Arboretum park and in the Ordzhonikidze sanatorium, where, according to the plot of the film, Gena lives and works – Sergei Garmash returned to his role. New Sochi locations include Riviera Park and Frunze (Khosta) Park, Russian-Japanese Friendship Garden and NA Museum. Mountain forest of Ostrovsky, Psakho Canyon (Sochi) and Krasnaya Polyana.
“One of the main locations of our film is always Sochi – Gena’s home. On this platform, we see the interaction of the characters; Funny, funny and touching situations that fill the lives of Gena and Cheburashka,” shares Garmash.
In the sequel, young Gena (Artem Bystrov) and his wife Lyuba (Marina Konyashkina) will appear again – the viewer will be able to better get to know the main character, changed by his open and spontaneous wife.

According to the plot of the sequel, Cheburashka gradually adjusts to living with Gena, but she begins to show independence and misbehave, and Gena’s parenting methods upset her. While the heroes deal with family problems, Gena’s house is in danger of collapse.
“Cheburashka 2” will be released on January 1, 2026.
