The Consortium of Museums has selected two audiovisual projects to be exhibited at Las Cigarreras

In this second call, a 36 offers in total and the jury unanimously selected the works Is something happening to you?of Valencia Sara Aliana and Sara MarhuendaY bread and circusBy artist from Huesca living in Bilbao George IslandIt will be exhibited in the audio-visual room of the Caja Blanca of the Las Cigarreras cultural center -Sala Negre through 2022 and 2023. Along with these projects, two more reserve projects were selected: Try Animals & Grandmothers VRof the Mayte Gomez MolinaY LOOPof the Tamara Garcia Iglesias.

Consortium total 3.400 € for each project on this second call.

The projects were evaluated according to the criteria of quality, consistency, feasibility, compliance with the curatorial lines determined by the call, adaptation to the exhibition space, innovation and contribution to artistic creation. bread and circus

Jorge Isla from Huesca proposes bread and circus a dive mukbang, a gastronomic rite and mass demonstration of a person’s whereaboutswanted ASMR-tist, consuming large amounts of food streaming while interacting with the audience in exchange for financial gain. The artist presents a series of ASMR stimuli related to the manipulation of food that foster a range of empathy and pleasure for the viewer and create a utopia of intimacy and interaction.

About Black and Scroll

Negre is Todo Bien’s exhibition programming project located in the audiovisual room of Caja Blanca de Las Cigarreras. The aim of this project is to promote this field as: A place for the exhibition, experimentation and dissemination of contemporary art projects that explore the possibilities of use and contemporary context of audiovisual. In addition, Negre aims to provide support to new creators working with the audiovisual medium, promoting and producing conditions that facilitate the display and dissemination of their projects inside and outside Las Cigarreras.
