Think back… Do you remember when you first went on stage?

I just remember that nervous feeling and finally a mix of feelings. But you see the agent clapping and having fun, and you say, are they going to like it? There are many senses that you carry.

Do they look like the ones you show in public?

No, nothing to see, but it’s true that there is something in common between an artist on stage and the public, there is gratitude on both sides. For me, going on stage is food for the soul. And people coming out of their homes, listening to us sing, playing, getting emotional… It’s really energy sharing between the two of us, and it’s really nice. You open up on stage and you give everything you feel, and this support or gratitude from the public gives you a very important energy, just as the audience expects this emotion from the concert.

For months, the artist’s life consisted of giving concerts from home via networks without contact with the public. What does direct mean to you? can you imagine counting music without it?

Not in any way. When my music and I take the stage, we are alive. Songs come alive in a concert. I also love vinyl records, I think they’re like photographs, they capture a beautiful reality, but I need live shows to inspire me that this photography is in motion. This is a very different experience.

For many singers, the passion for music and even the profession came from a young age, childhood. How important could music be to a child and how important was it to you?

It was everything to me. I always listened to music in my house, there was music since I was little. I didn’t study at the conservatory or anything, but I grew up and grew up with music.

What has changed in your songwriting process after a pandemic after months of quarantine?

Such a thing has not changed, I did not notice a change in this process; What happened was that I had more free time, it allowed me to start and get involved in new projects. If nothing happened in this pandemic, I might not have time for this new album. I experienced everything very quickly and now I am more aware of everything.

Los Estanques accompanies him in his new job. What added value did you add to your music? And most of all, is there a sound, a style that Anni B Sweet would use that has no place in this fusion?

Being able to do this collaboration seemed very valuable to me, I listened to his music and said, “I would like to be able to do this myself”. Maybe I had doubts about whether we would understand each other and in the end everything came out so natural, so smooth. As for styles, it’s true that I use a lot of effects in my music and I knew I wasn’t going to marry Los Estanques, it would be much more organic, warmer, more beautiful. But that’s what the music asked us to do, and in the end we did a really good job.
