Producer and composer Igor Krutoy admitted on Instagram (the owner of the Meta company is known as an extremist and is banned in Russia) that he persuaded singer Andrei Gubin to return to the stage.
Krutoy hoped that Gubin would continue his career. He said that the artist closely follows trends in popular music as well as new songs. According to the producer, the singer evaluates the work of her colleagues objectively and professionally.
Krutoy noted that Gubin went through a lot: the loss of his parents and disappointment. However, the composer announced that the artist continued to compose music despite this.
“I really want to believe that eventually I will persuade him to return to the stage and fulfill everything that he wrote during these years of ‘silence,’” the producer said.
Krutoy published a video from his last meeting with Gubin. They met in one of Moscow restaurants. They shared their impressions of the “New Wave” of the past and shared their plans for the future.
“Andryusha, despite all his closeness, has been melting in front of me lately, he can joke, joke… I am grateful to him for trusting me last summer, and we had a wonderful party with his ‘fifties’ in Volna. Dogs, where Andrei’s old hits were performed with pleasure by our stars,” the composer said.
