People’s Artist of the RSFSR Vasily Livanov was diagnosed with cancer, reports Life connected to Shot.
According to the publication, it was claimed that a tumor was seen in the MRI taken during the comprehensive examination of the 89-year-old artist. According to the source, the tumor is located in the pelvic area, the disease does not progress and does not threaten the life of the star.
Livanov has been in neuroreanimation since September 29. He was hospitalized for an ischemic stroke (brain infarction) and underwent surgery. The artist was connected to a ventilator after his heart stopped on October 5.
On October 15, SHOT Telegram channel reported that Vasily Livanov was discharged from the hospital. Later wife of the actor approved husband’s eviction.
Vasily Livanov is known for his role as Sherlock Holmes in the television film series by Igor Maslennikov “The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson”. In 1988 he was awarded the title of People’s Artist of the RSFSR. And in 2006, British Ambassador Anthony Brenton awarded the actor the Order of the British Empire for his role as the famous detective.
