“Kommersant”: Telman Ismailov accused of attempting to assassinate Abraham Russo

The Investigative Committee of Russia accused Telman Ismailov, the former owner of the Cherkizovsky market, in absentia “Kommersan” citing a knowledgeable source. The businessman is suspected of being the person who “ordered” the assassination attempt on singer Abraham Russo in 2006.

According to the investigation, Ismailov is the client of the crime, and the perpetrators are former taxi driver Vitaly Dzhuru and the head of the real estate agency Alexei Tryasnikov. At the same time, the Basmanny Court had already released Tryasnikov on the grounds that the detainee had been detained for 15 months, and the investigation did not provide strong evidence of his guilt.

The assassination attempt on Abraham Russo was committed on the night of August 19, 2006. Later, while the musician was returning from the concert, unidentified people shot at the singer’s car with an AKS-74U machine gun on Burdenko Street. Rousseau, who was driving at the time of the assassination, suffered injuries to the thigh, lower leg, and lower back.

Previously Rousseau described how he was beaten by businessman Telman Ismailov.
