Gil-Albert’s new edition targets creators of contemporary art of any background. individually or collectively. Vice President and Vice President for Culture, Julia ParraHe stated that the initiative will “make it possible to explore the aesthetic value and versatility of the textile tradition closely linked to our province, as well as to learn about the works of artists from Alicante and from anywhere in the world working on the fusion of culture and tradition”.
The main purpose of its activity is to advice and support from Reüll Group headed by Joseph Ginestaris to support plastic and visual creation and for this there is a prize pool to be distributed at the event. First prize of 6,000 euros and twenty-second prizes of 300 euros.
Submitted works must be newly created. On the other hand, techniques, themes and formats will be freeare subject to the condition that they are only exhibitable and framed within the concept of contemporary textile art. The first prize-winning work will remain at the disposal of the Cultural Institute, headquartered in Casa BardÃn in Alicante, for three years. At the end of this period, the author can choose to return the work or donate it to IAC to become part of his collection.
The initiative joins other innovative proposals such as the recent announcement by the Alicante institute. Residences Performing Arts Research It will take place on the island of Tabarca.
