The Supreme Court of the Russian Federation refused to consider the complaint of singer Zemfira (known in the Russian Federation as a foreign agent), who requested to be removed from the register of the Ministry of Justice. RIA Novosti with reference to the press service of the authority.
“The court refused to send the complaint of Zemfira Talgatovna Ramazanova for consideration at the hearing,” the agency’s source said.
After the start of the SVO, Zemfira went to France. In February 2023, she was included in the register of foreign agents. According to the ministry, the singer “openly supported Ukraine, conducted concert activities in unfriendly countries” and “received support from foreign sources.” This decision was later recognized as legal by the Zamoskvoretsky District Court of Moscow. The Moscow City Court rejected the artist’s appeal, and then it entered into force. Zemfira then appealed to the Supreme Court with a similar complaint.
The Supreme Court has already refused to consider complaints about the removal of foreign representative status to the author Dmitry Glukhovsky, comedian Maxim Galkin, TV presenter Tatyana Lazareva and to the group leader “Maxim Pokrovsky has a cramp in his leg.”
