“Analysis of the materials distributed by Slepakov allows us to conclude that he was engaged in political activities,” the documents state.
It was revealed that in his posts on VKontakte, the artist mocked the Russian President, who planned to use weapons to threaten the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Russian Federation. The comedian also posted musical compositions on YouTube, in which he mocked Russian soldiers who were deployed in the Northern Military District.
The Justice Ministry included Slepakov on the list of foreign agents on April 14 last year. According to the ministry, “he received support from foreign sources, opposed the special military operation in Ukraine, had a negative attitude towards military service and public service in general, and spoke negatively against citizens of the Russian Federation.”
In June 2023, the Zamoskvoretsky Court of Moscow refused to remove the status of the artist. Although the comedian’s representatives denied that he received foreign funding, the judge took into account the claims of the Ministry of Justice. In May of this year, Slepakov appealed the court’s decision, and in June the comedian was initially fined 30 thousand rubles for not posting a foreign agent sign on Telegram. After the refusal to remove the status of a foreign agent, the comedian appealed to the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation on September 14.
In March 2022, Slepakov emigrated to Israel, bringing with him his elderly relatives. According to the latest information, he lives with his family in Tel Aviv. After moving, he called himself part of the Jewish people. In the fall of 2023, he released a parody of the song Shaman “Not Russian”, performed from a Jewish perspective and making fun of stereotypes about them.
