“The Supreme Court noted the complaint filed by Zemfira Ramazanova against the decision of the lower courts, which refused to overturn the decision of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation to include her in the register of foreign agents,” the court said.
Zemfira was included in the register of foreign agents by the Russian Ministry of Justice in February 2023. This decision was recognized as legal by the Zamoskvoretsky District Court of Moscow.
The Moscow City Court also rejected the appeal against this decision, after which the decision entered into legal force.
The Justice Ministry cited the singer’s decision to include her in the foreign agency list because she openly supports Ukraine, calls for a special military operation, gives concerts in unfriendly countries and receives support from foreign sources.
