Roskomnadzor (RKN) explained the restriction of access to the album of the rap group “Casta” by the presence of false information in the songs, according to reports RIA Novosti.
“Access to this album is limited due to the presence in the texts of unreliable information aimed at destabilizing the socio-political situation in the Russian Federation,” the ministry said.
The group, whose musicians left Russia after the start of the special operation in Ukraine, released the album “Novelties of Foreign Rap” on September 9. The day after the release of the collection of songs, the activists of “Veterans of Russia” in the name Control “Caste” members who receive funding from the Ukrainian Armed Forces, recognize them as foreign agents and block songs.
Access to the album was restricted on September 13. When I tried to open it through search services, a notification began to appear that RKN was blocked. Yandex Music later clarified that the service received an official request from Roskomnadzor to restrict access to the collection of songs.
