Roskomnadzor added five book sites to the list of banned information. It was reported website departments.
The list included babook.org, Freedomletters.org, ruslania.com, bookamaro.com and goodreads.com.
“The above book platforms contain works containing fake news about SVO, LGBT propaganda (the International LGBT People’s Movement is considered extremist and terrorist, banned in the Russian Federation), information aimed at destabilizing the political situation in the Russian Federation. For tarnishing the reputation of the government authorities of the Russian Federation and the actions of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation,” explained the reason for the ban on the sites in the RKN.
They added that works by foreign agent writers were published on these sites without being labeled. The regulator explained that some of the banned book services were founded by Russian immigrants, while others belonged to foreign companies.
“If resource owners do not heed the ministry’s warnings, access to sites on the territory of the Russian Federation will be limited,” RKN warned.
Before that Roskomnadzor blocked A copy of the Fan Fiction Book website for LGBT propaganda.
Previously in Russia fine 4 million rubles to Pinterest for non-compliance with the RKN order.
