“Advertise Now”
Where and when will it be published: on the TV-3 channel – unknown
Kostya long ago (Rinal Mukhametov looks suspiciously like Penn Badgley in Gossip Girl and You) He asked an ad producer for an assistant – just for a few months, just to make some extra money, but it’s been 12 years since then. Now Kostya is the second person in the production. She seems ready to solve any problem: for example, completely reshooting the video overnight with Christina Asmus, because all the source files are gone and the deadline for delivery to the customer is already tomorrow. However, Kostya convinces himself and those around him that advertising is temporary, that he is about to give up, and finally begins to shoot his own movie. “And Now Advertising” is above all, of course, a fairly narrowly focused production comedy made for the advertisers and media professionals themselves, but we probably already have enough series “for everyone”, so the appearance of such projects (at least in the form of pilots ) can only rejoice.
“Poor people”
Where and when will it be published: In Premier and 2×2 in Fall 2022
The three people living together regularly try to solve everyday problems that each time turn into absurd situations such as an alien invasion, a collision with an ancient Egyptian god, and an escape from the afterlife. In the pilot episode, the heroes undertake to find a neighbor. (majestically depicted by director Yuri Bykov) From a realm in the world of “Unfortunate”, which turns out to be a multi-layered space, where the last level is Robert Eggers’ black-and-white horror “Lighthouse”. The show was created by Balashikha Millionaire director Nikita Tamarov, where his love of satire and absurd humor fits perfectly with the legacy of The Muppet Show and The Dolls.
“Friend for an hour”
Where and when will it be published: on TNT in 2023
Nikolay Sergeyevich (Sergei Shakurov), an honorable pediatrician with tremendous experience retires and sees no meaning in later life. His wife died a year ago, leaving him a pile of letters to open on certain occasions (like retirement). There she tries to find words that can support her husband, but so far everything is in vain: Nikolai Sergeevich decides to commit suicide, and before that how to finally get around. After a chance meeting, Grandpa spends a fun (and extremely expensive) night with a young man. (Boris Dergachev from “Triad”)working as “friends for an hour” – that is, drinking for money with lonely people. The next morning, it turns out that his 17,000th pension certainly didn’t cover a six-figure bill. So the “friend of the hour” has a partner, and Nikolai Sergeevich has reason not to commit suicide, because his conscience does not allow to die without returning the debt to a new acquaintance.
Fascinating, very touching, and in some places truly heartbreaking drama, “A Friend for an Hour” is based on the amazing duet of Shakurov and Dergachev – the artists have such a chemistry in the frame that the show will remain perfect even if it’s fully formed. their dialogue But they have another trump card: a well-chosen intonation makes “One Hour Friend” one of the most lively stories to appear on the Russian screen.
“Incoming”
Where and when will it be published: In start service – unknown
The old church in Danilovsky Posad loses an old rector – he dies during the service. He seems to have been replaced by his son, the young deacon Peter. (Andrey Şibarşin)but suddenly another rector was sent from Moscow – Father Dmitry (Philip Yankovsky, who won quite a lot in the acting nomination)who recently killed a courier in the capital. Peter and the rest of the parishioners are suspicious of the guest – and not in vain, as it soon turned out. Written by the screenwriters of “former” Ekaterina Surovtseva and Ruslan Doshchanov and shot by “Hostages” director Rezo Gigineishvili, “The Parish” draws attention with a paradoxical atmosphere in which mysticism, suspense and drama are combined in a strange, artificially tense way. humor. The mix isn’t obvious, but it works: The show turns out to be either a Sorrentino movie or a Midnight Mass series in the quiet Russian countryside. There is some doubt as to whether the series of domestic priests using illegal substances will ever make its way in modern-day Russia (I immediately recall the difficulties of “Father Sergius”, who was eventually renamed “Sergius against Evil Spirits”). But I still want to believe that it will appear – let’s say with the help of God.
“Alice’s Dreams”
Where and when will it be published: Unknown
a girl named Alice (Alina Gvasalia) He lives in a small northern town and has strange dreams about a future he can’t avoid. The last time in such a dream appears a fair-skinned girl who was brutally murdered. When Alice meets a girl who is actually similar and still alive, she decides to save her new friend from death at all costs. But events in the mysterious town, where strange things happen, develop in a completely different scenario. Alice’s Dreams is an extremely chaotic series that largely contains porridge instead of text, but is extremely atmospheric and stylish. I’d like to commend it in advance for this – considering that if a full season is filmed, the odd pilot with too many hooks will be re-shot and potentially an excellent story. will be allowed to open sufficiently. The Russian horror is still a pretty rare beast, so it deserves some degree of discount. Let’s not be greedy.
