Director Steven Spielberg directed the first music video of his career. About informs CNN.
The 75-year-old cinematographer shot a video for the song Cannibal by Marcus Mumford, frontman of British band Mumford & Sons.
According to Mumford, the shooting took place on July 3 in the gym of one of the New York schools. The clip was shot in one frame.
Mumford’s wife, actress Carey Mulligan, was responsible for the singer’s clothing and voice as the project’s costume designer, while Spielberg’s wife, Kate Capshaw, was the producer, artistic director and assistant director.
Cannibal is the first single from Mumford’s solo album, due out September 16. According to the musician, he wrote the song in January 2021, “fighting demons with whom he danced alone for a long time.”
