Popular New Zealand TV presenter Joanna Paul-Roby announced live on air that she has been diagnosed with terminal cancer. This was reported by

Paul-Roby spoke about his illness after being presented with an award for his work in the creative industries. He admitted that recognition has been important to him throughout his life. The TV presenter did not specify what type of cancer he is suffering from.

In an old interview, Paul-Roby said he worked in the media for more than six decades and enjoyed covering world-changing events both in New Zealand and abroad.

“I’ve had a wonderful career working in every aspect of television, both on and off screen,” he said.
