“Adults” direction. Ekaterina Todorovskaya
Where and when to watch: In Okko – in 2025
This year’s unprecedentedly weak Pilot program was imbued, among other things, with a magnificent spirit of nepotism. In particular, Sergey Minaev and Andrey Zolotarev took part in the provocative drama “Give me a show!” (produced by Zolotarev himself), as well as the debut of Ekaterina Todorovskaya, daughter of the director and permanent head of the festival Valery Todorovsky (here the latter’s own projects are shown outside the competition, as a rule, but the reservation is probably not inherited). But “Give me a show!” If you watch what is happening on the screen in the section. It was almost unbearable, so “Adults” probably asked the fewest questions on both days of screenings.

Nothing actually happens in the series, but this is even to its advantage: it turns out that there is nothing annoying, so it turns out a rather pleasant conversational drama – it looks much stronger than in the same Todorovsky’s film “In Two”, the surprising performance of Danila Kozlovsky and Alexander Petrov A remarkably ordinary double performance. Because of the three girlfriends at the center of the story (Played by Stasya Miloslavskaya, Anastasia Talyzina and Maria Matsel) “First Class” has been on my mind lately; The shows are indeed similar, but here they do it without the body (at least for now), and instead of an elite school, the shooting point is a cozy cabin.
“Curious Barabara”, direction. Yuri Korobeinikov
Where and when to watch: At Wink – in September
The wild success of the “Manyunya” series based on the works of Narine Abgaryan could not help but attract the attention of the industry, so the emergence of something like “Curious Varvara” (not to be confused with the series of the same name, which is retired) was just a matter of time. This is a fascinating children’s detective story in the spirit of the “Black Kitten” series and Astrid Lindgren’s books about Kalla Blumkvist: ten-year-old genius child Varvara Smorodina (Polina Ainutdinova) He uncovers mysterious cases in the village of Verkhovoy, where he and his sister were sent to stay with their grandparents (former law enforcement officers) for the summer.

The project is managed by Karen Oganesyan (“Survival Game”, “Passengers”) and the director of “Words of a Child” and the cameraman of “Tobol” Yuri Korobeinikov. In relation to the latter, the show provides a certain visual pleasure: The picture resembles a mashup of Wes Anderson’s “Moonrise Kingdom” and “Asteroid City”, but without the charming seriousness of the Excel tablet. The content is less rosy: For the most part, “Curious Barbara” makes a pretty pleasant impression, but in some places a chill runs down your spine. Frankly, this is full-fledged propaganda – young Smorodina dreams of not only solving crimes, but always wearing a jacket with shoulder straps.
“Killer Holiday” direction. Sergei Dyachkovsky
Where and when to watch: In Kion – from July 1
Probably, Boris Khlebnikov, in addition to his directorial skills, intensely conveys tender feelings towards his charges towards the duet of Anna Mikhalkova and Alexander Robak. In any case, in Sergei Dyachkovsky’s “Holiday of the Killer” they play a married couple who are both on the verge of divorce and on vacation in Turkey (under this title, the artists enter the second ten in the list of joint projects). Dyachkovsky made a black crime comedy, a sort of imported “Flight Attendant” with an intriguing corpse in bed. Unfortunately, this not only leaves out Kaley Cuoco (Lyubov Aksenova appears here via video call instead), but also gets us at the expense of excessive drinking: The “Vacation” pilot spends an awful lot of time showing off her soaking wetness. Alexander Robak (and others involved) is fond of alcohol – like a tourist operating the all-inclusive system with methodical greed.

It’s really hard to watch, if only because of the initial fatigue from the duo of Mikhalkova (“let’s get divorced”) and Roebuck (“let’s get drunk”), and also, we repeat, when we see Roebuck drinking. Slick humor helps a bit in these circumstances: Dyachkovsky has a Hitchcockian comic role, and Stepan Devonin (“Peace! Friendship! Chewing gum!”(who also had a hand in the script), is a full-fledged and promising role. There is a ghostly hope that the weather will improve from the second episode onwards.
“Black accounting” direction. Ruslan Danilevich
Where and when to watch: on TNT – unknown
Alphabet Chance: This list starts with a show about three women and ends with a show about three women. More precisely, completely the opposite: shot by Ruslan Danilevich (“Plague”) A crime action-comedy about employees of a transport company who escape from bandits from Vladivostok to Moscow, receiving a bag of cash from the director, does not skimp on action – and in general does not stand still. Literally so: at the end of the first episode, it seems as if a tired road movie opens and hints at the further outline of the narrative.

The feeling of tension does not disappear throughout the entire pilot episode, Kristina Kucherenko puts pressure on causticity, Marina Fedunkiv puts pressure on compassion, Larisa Baranova puts pressure on anxiety, Igor Grabuzov appears in his usual rogue role with his speech and looks. Kaa, the boa constrictor from The Jungle Book. All of this is quickly taking shape in a TNT comedy that contains no surprises, has an equal chance of being a hit, and is completely under the radar.
