“Let them check”: rapper Slimus explained the reason for the postponement of the concert in Yekaterinburg 21:34

Ekaterina Mizulina, head of the Veterans of Russia movement and the Safe Internet Union, demanded that videos and songs of rapper Slimus (Vadim Motylev) be checked for drug propaganda. The musician told socialbites.ca that linguistic review of the tracks is currently being carried out due to the fact that he had to postpone the concert in Yekaterinburg. Motylev noted that he had not mentioned banned substances in his lyrics for a long time, but was ready to refuse to perform pieces that were found to be in violation.

“Language review is currently being done on the tracks, so we had to move the concert to another date. If suddenly something doesn’t work out, then we won’t do it. Let them check. I do not promote drugs and have not mentioned them in my articles for a long time. “If there were mentions, they were describing negative experiences,” he said.

Motylev emphasized that social activists reinterpreted his words about the bad weather conditions in Moscow, and said that the rapper spoke negatively about the country in this way. He described what happened as “cheap self-promotion”.

“They also removed my words from the interview in which I said that the weather was bad in Moscow for six months, there was slush, dirt and no sun. And they are trying to distort that I speak negatively about the country as a whole, calling it dirty Russia. It seems like a cheap self-promotion, nothing more. I pay taxes and spend a significant part of the money I earn in my own country. “Every citizen of the Russian Federation has the right to his own opinion,” he added.

June 13, Safer Internet League President Ekaterina Mizulina stated He said on his Telegram channel that he appealed to the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation with a request to check the work of rapper Slimus. The public figure saw in his tracks “drug propaganda, insulting the feelings of believers, discrediting the army and supporting the terrorist Zelensky.” Mizulina also posted a video message from the musician in which she spoke out against SVO, and included a screenshot of the text in which the rapper asked the rapper to “allow” one of his songs from 2020 to “enter” Ukraine.

Thereupon, it was learned that the musician’s concert planned to be held in Yekaterinburg on June 15 was postponed. The rapper is scheduled to visit Nizhny Novgorod and St. Petersburg this month. He is scheduled to perform in St. Petersburg, and in Moscow and Kaliningrad in August.
